About Scentsy Wax Bars

​A Scentsy Bar is a block of fragrant wax in eight break-apart sections. When gently warmed in a Scentsy Warmer, the wax releases a beautiful fragrance into the air without flame, smoke or soot. It's such an easy way to make your home or work smell amazing. 

There are fragrances for every taste, occasion and mood.  I love choosing fragrances that I find relaxing, calming, soothing and inspiring.  When I need a boost, I love fresh fragrances that energise me.

​Scentsy wax bars are formulated to be non-toxic and safe for the general population.  They are free from BPA, lead, formaldehyde, parabens, mineral oils, nut oils, gluten, egg and harmful phthalates. 

How Many Wax Cubes To Use?

There are a few factors to consider here:
  • How strong do you like your fragrance? More cubes = stronger scent. 
  • How big is your space? The bigger the room, the more cubes you’ll need to fill the space with scent. 
  • What scent are you warming? Some fragrance notes are more intense than others. 
  • Mini Warmers are smaller than our standard size Warmers so hold less wax. 
  • You could start with 1 to 2 cubes and see what works for you.

How To Change Scentsy Bars

You change the wax when you no longer smell the fragrance or whenever you like!  To change the wax— simply soak up the wax with Cotton Cleanup. All you do is place one pad in the melted wax in your warmer and within seconds, the cotton absorbs the wax — up to four melted Scentsy Bar cubes! Otherwise regular cotton balls or tissues also do a good job.

Another way to change the wax if the wax has cooled and hardened in the dish, turn on your warmer for a few minutes to soften the wax and gently slide it out in one piece.  Or you can melt the wax, pour into a disposable container and wipe out the warmer dish with a tissue. 

​If the wax is still fragrant and you would like a change in scent you can reuse it, simply pour the wax into it’s original packaging and store in a cool place.  

​Discard the wax once the fragrance is depleted. 

​Tip—don’t add a fresh cube of wax to your old wax as it dilutes the fragrance!

How To Store Scentsy Bars

Here are a few ideas on how to properly store your bars to maximize their shelf life:
  • Do keep them in a cool, dark place. (A cool linen closet is great — they make the sheets and towels smell amazing.)
  • Do lay them flat whenever possible. 
  • Don’t leave them in direct sunlight for any extended period of time.
  • Don’t choose drawers next to the oven or stove if you store your bars in the kitchen. They will melt, and you will be sad!
  • Do respect the first in, first out rule! Rotate older bars to the front of your stash to make sure you use them first.
  • Don’t leave your Scentsy Bars in the car for too long — on a warm day the sun will melt them.
  • Don’t store in the freezer and better to not store in the fridge — the temperature changes are too extreme for most fragrances. (Scentsy have tested it out, with poor results. Don’t do it!)
